lessons from the kitchen counter

Gave my kids an impromptu lesson on welfare and communism (we were reading about FDR/social security, etc.) using what was within reach in the kitchen:

a cleaning bottle (the working man),

empty eyeglass case (the poor),

and a big box of circus animal cookies (the government)

...and it wasn't even a part of our curriculum.

I LOVE HOME SCHOOLING!

  1. You are amazing ... I want to hear more of what was said. And I love homeschooling too. I feel we are blessed among women to have this privilege.
Keep shaping the next generation - I can't think of anything else I would rather spend my time doing. Love you.

  2. Kori, I love reading your writings each day, they are so refreshing, fun and also very serious. You are quite the little gal. I love your mothering, your politics, and your walk with the Lord. Reading this makes me feel close to you as I get to know you thru your blog.
